VHS and camcorder tapes degrade with time because they are made of magnetic tape. When you convert these tapes to DVD this conversion process stops the degradation of the video and preserves your movies in the digital format which is used in DVD’s. In addition to the DVD, the digital video files on the disc will be valuable even when the DVD format itself has come and gone. Since the video files we place on your DVD are not encrypted, you can transfer them to future formats!
